What is the Compassionate Entrepreneur Club?
Started with the simple idea that everybody can make a difference, it is really satisfying to see all that we’ve been able to accomplish!
Our method is simple: members gather together to brainstorm ways we can help someone else reach for higher potential – and then we go to work to make some of those ideas happen.
Over the three years plus we’ve been in existence, we have sold at craft booths, organized concerts and online auctions, partnered with businesses to have a movie night and ski night dedicated to our cause, gathered books, clothing and games, led a service room putting together literacy supplies, gathered for game nights, organized a craftival, taught classes and more.
All proceeds and supplies have been sent over to various organizations in Africa, specifically serving Uganda, that give a hand-up to those that need it, through learning, literacy and leadership centers as well as business loans. One of the favorite parts of club meetings is sharing the news we’ve heard from these centers on the good that is happening there.
The best part is, as we organize and execute these events and send the proceeds to help others, club members here are reaching for their higher potential too. It builds character to look outside of self, see a need, and do something to help. It builds ability to plan events and carry them out. It builds capacity to see it through. All together, it builds compassionate entrepreneurs.
We couldn’t do this without all the wonderful support from the community! Thanks to all of you for supporting our events and helping us make a difference!
We are committed here at the Compassionate Entrepreneur Club to build individuals. Because of this commitment, we choose organizations to help that are inspiring future possibilities for the ones they serve. It is important to us that these organizations (as well as our events) assist the growth of character, ability and capacity while not fostering dependency and powerlessness.
With our small offering, we seek to empower individuals to become the best they can be, both within the club and within the organizations we help. Each person has such amazing potential. Each person has greatness inside. Each person can make a difference.Â
